The Hyndburn District Akeema took place today at the Sports Barn, Bowley Scout camp.
There where approximately 6 colonies participated and Baxenden put forward two teams.
The Akeema is a mini Olympics style event that is organised by our own ADC Tracy Shaw. Activities included, dress up sack race, curling, penalty shoot out, egg and spoon, skipping and ball bouncing, box and broom and a rest station to top up with drinks and biscuits.
Our beavers, I'm proud to say where extremely well behaved and really enjoyed the event.
When the results came through that our "A" team had won, needless to say both the beavers and leaders where thrilled. Our team will now represent the district in the county event which will take place later in the year.

Well done beavers - you all worked together really well and represented our group fantastically! All participants received certificates and we will also receive a trophy to hold onto for a whole year!
Thank you to Steven, Michelle and Eamonn for helping out on the day - you're stars.

Being Creative
We recently had a really fun night being creative.
The lodges split up and we took turns to decorated some lovely heart shaped biscuits with icing and lots of bright and tasty toppings, we cooked small coctail sausages over tealights and we had a small beaver log chew, with hot vimto and biscuits whilst we discussed all the things that we enjoy in beavers, and new things we want to do.
