The County Akeema took place today at Bowley Scout Camp. Four districts entered the competition including Hyndburn (us), Clitheroe, Burnley and Rossendale. There where seven bases, which included bean bag tin can alley, penalty shoot out, box and broom, ball and bucket (parachute game), twister memory game, dress up sack race and of course a rest station with drinks and biscuits!
We all had a really fantastic morning. As with the District Akeema, our beavers, I'm proud to say where extremely well behaved and genuinely really enjoyed the event.
Steven and I however are now completely hoarse!
When the results came through that our team had won, we jumped with joy (the leaders that is) and it goes without saying, that the beavers where also thrilled.
We all received certificates and medals, and we will now get the Hyndburn District name added to the County Trophy!Watch out for our photos in the Accrington Observer !!

We needed one reserve boy because a boy was ill,but we won anyway.
